Day Three

6/13/2012- Sorry for the late posting. I got home last night, worked on my albums for six hours, laid down in bed and realized that I hadn't posted. I was very tempted to get up and post but my better judgment decided it was time to get some rest. The days are very fun and exciting for me, but of course I can not keep my mouth shut in class, so my throat is a terrible mess. I want training to be over already, not because I do not like it (I'm actually totally in love) but I really want the school year to start because I am so excited to start practicing in the classroom.

So today in math we got introduced to the Large Bead Frame, Small Bead Frame Addition, Large Bead Frame Addition, Subtraction with Golden Beads, Stamp Game Subtraction, and Golden Mat Subtraction.

Lesson II- This method was my favorite. It uses logic and I can just see children brainstorming  to get this all apart.

Golden Mat Subtraction

Today in Language we did not do any presentations of lessons, however, we did go over phonics and sight words (puzzle words) but in the interest of time today I will posts the classes ideas a little bit later on.

Day Two

6/12/12- Today was a very busy day... but on the way home I read a Facebook status from my friends mother that said, "How do you eat an Elephant?... One bite at a time." And I thought wow! that is exactly my feeling about Montessori Training... If you look at the big elephant you are easily overwhelmed, so I will now try my best to focus on the bites, one lesson at a time. I have decided to include language lessons to because they are pretty fun, like all the rest of the materials!

MATH
Today for math we did Small Bead Frame and Bead Frame Notation Paper, Exchanging, Addition with Whole Numbers, Stamp Game, Dot Board, and The Golden Mat. My Lesson Write ups are below.

The Night Before Training....

Wooohooo! First official blog post. Hopefully I can stick to this with the busy schedule, that I, as well as everybody else has. Anyway, My supplies are organized and I am ready to go! I am excited and nervous to start training tomorrow. I wish my throat would have healed a little more before training started, but at least I shouldn't be getting sick over the summer! Well, it is getting late, I'm off to do homework then go to bed. Early start tomorrow morning!
